Jaspers is one of our longest running, and most sought-after groups in the Shoalhaven and now is a great time to get on the waiting list to join up for Group 2! Every Monday our Jaspers participants travel around the Shoalhaven, undertaking activities from sightseeing, fun-orientated physical activities, fishing, bird-watching, bushwalking, arts and crafts, and much more.’
Our participants all get an equal opportunity to choose which activities the group undertakes, with a curated list of fun and fulfilling activities created to address your goals, and interests. The group undertake these tasks in a variety of locations, keeping a log of all the different places in the Shoalhaven they travel to, and they are about to undertake the Shoalhaven 100 Beach Challenge.
Lunch is taken care off with the participants enjoying a great BBQ every week, depending on where they are this could be anywhere from a BBQ at Seven Mile Beach National Park, Cox House in Nowra, or even as far south as Durras Beach. On days when the wind and the rain just doesn’t want to play the Group undertake activities indoors such as arts and crafts, board games, classic movies, and café visits. The group also has special event days, such as Christmas Shopping in Shellharbour.
Jaspers is a great opportunity to be a part of a group that sticks together for the long term. With a low turnover of participants, joining Jaspers means you will form tight bonds, and close friendships while undertaking activities you love.
Jaspers is designed to build positive emotions through encouraging and building engagement, and meaning with the activities you undertake. That’s why Jaspers, like all our groups, has a focus on continuous improvement. The activities, destinations, and attitude we bring is all formed from the feedback of the participants and corers.
