Hi my name is Bianca and I am an Account Manager with Interchange located in the Shoalhaven. I am engaged with a beautiful 4 year old daughter and I have lived in the Shoalhaven area for my whole life, I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. My family have been residents for many years, my mum was brought up on a lovely dairy farm in Pyree. I have plenty of family in the area as well as some in the Southern highlands which is only a less than an hour drive form where I live. I love the Shoalhaven area because I get to be so close to some of the best beaches in Australia, as well as the amazing community spirit we have in the area.
I previously worked as a Support Officer in Supported Employment for 9 years as well as doing some Support Work on the side. I got into the disability sector because I grew up watching my mum teach in Special Education and I constantly saw the negative stigma around people with disabilities. All I wanted to do was help as much as I could to help change that stigma and make everyone feel like a valued member of the community. Working in disability has been a great way to reconnect with some of my mums old students.
I have been with Interchange for just over 1 month, I made the change to Interchange because after 9 years in the one role I was ready for a change and I had heard really great things about Interchange. My current role as an account manager involves looking after individuals to assist them in achieving their NDIS goals. Working with the Account Manager/Client Services team is a really rewarding position and I have been made to feel like a valued member of the team. Everyone at Interchange has been incredibly supportive and made me feel very welcomed since I began my role as Account Manager.
