I got into this industry as I wanted to help people live their best lives, and that is exactly what I am doing…..
I want to help people live their best lives. Seeing participants reach goals, access the community and have fun with their peers is such a rewarding sight.
My name is Jasmine and I am an Account Manager (Team Coach) at Interchange in the Shoalhaven. I am a mother of two, with a 2 year old girl and a 9 month old baby boy who are just the best of friends. I am a Shoalhaven local living in Sussex Inlet and it really is such an amazing place to both live and work – with 100 beaches to explore as well as being able to drive 15 minutes in any direction and visit a lake, farm, river or mountains. I love being on the coast and having both mine and my husbands family all around us.
Before working with Interchange, I completed my Certificate 4 in Community Services and then I started work as a support worker with another organisation. In my last job I had two roles, one role was as a support worker doing Day Programs, and the other was a role helping to transition school leavers into the workplace.
When I first applied to Interchange I had heard such great things about the services they provided and all I wanted was to be able to be involved in helping those clients live even better and happier. In the beginning of my career with Interchange I was a support worker for a few years, and then the position became available for Account Manager (Team Coach), I applied and now here I am. I made the change in my roles as I was really excited about helping and coaching support workers to be their best. I wanted to ensure that the supports that we were offering were delivered to the best of Interchanges abilities, and was so excited to take on the new role.
My current role as Account manager (team Coach) involves overseeing all supports, monitoring supports for participants, assisting with reports for end of plan reviews and also bring new participants on board with Interchange. What I love most about my role as Account manager (Team Coach) is seeing the photos of clients learning, being supported, reaching goals, accessing the community and enjoying themselves, and hearing all their good news stories. I got into this industry as I wanted to help people live their best lives, and that is exactly what I am doing.
