What is Short-Term Accommodation “STA”?
Short term Accommodation is when someone else takes care of the person you care for, so that you can have some time for yourself and take a well-deserved break.
At Interchange Australia we make sure the person you care for has a safe and wonderful time enjoying a wide variety of activities with their peers during their stay with us making the experience positive for all involved.
Where Will I Stay?
Our Nowra houses are beautifully appointed classic houses located in central Nowra, offering the best of all worlds only 15 minutes to the nearest beach and 100’s more to explore. Being centrally located guvs ease of access to attractions, public transport and shops.

What Will I Do?
You will be supported throughout your stay by experienced and qualified staff as you learn and improve on important life skills. Participants are involved in all aspects of daily living activities from menu planning to grocery shopping and meal preparation, garden care, household chores and hygiene practices.
There is a whole lot of fun to be had with your peers as you access the community with various outings and activities which are selected by the entire group during each stay with us.
We offer farm visits, nature walks, beach days, museum visits, dinner groups, movie nights, bowling, action parks, health and fitness, art classes and so much more!
You also have the option to join in with the Peer Support group “Interchange Adventures”.

Weekend Short-term Accommodation starts at 4:00pm on Fridays and runs through to 4:00pm on Sundays.1:1 and 1:2 STA available on request.
All areas have wheelchair access*.
*Jervis House is NOT wheelchair accessible.
