In a world where you can be anything, stay positive and be kind!
By Interchange Australia Marketing Coordinator Kelly Taylor.
Sean is a living example of this statement with his positive “I will give anything a go” attitude, he offers encouragement to everyone around him to get involved as well and enjoy the moment. Sean is incredibly social, polite and kind to others, making friends everywhere he goes and embracing life with a smile.
Sean has been receiving services with Interchange Australia since 2019, and his chosen set of activities at Interchange come as no surprise. Sean has a love for music and live performances and enjoys making friends and being very social.
Sean attends Day Programs two days per week (music and drama day as well as Friday adventures) he is also a part of the Hidden Wonders band group and Stage Fright Players drama group and attends the Interchange Adventures Peer Support outings on weekends. His chosen set of activities aid with building on his skillset within his main interest of music and live performances as well as expanding his social network and making plenty of new friends.
Sean has come a long way as a performer since joining with interchange, playing leading roles in numerous live stage performances with both The Stage Fright Players and our Day Programs drama groups and is also a talented musician playing percussion for branch out band “Thomas and the Terminators” (part of the Hidden Wonders).
With everything going on around us in the world today, it is more important than ever to focus on what you love and act as the person you want to become, because what you focus on expands. There are so many rewarding benefits to living with a positive attitude; with positivity comes hope and confidence, with confidence comes growth, with growth, you achieve your goals!
Sean’s positive ways are contagious; those who surround him also become incredibly motivated by his words of kindness and encouragement. If the words you use can have the power to change someone’s life just by simply changing the way they view the world then why not give it a go.
