A little bit of kindness and compassion goes a very long way!
By Interchange Australia Marketing Coordinator Kelly Taylor.
Helping others in need is second nature to Alice, when we asked her what she enjoys doing most her response without doubt was the volunteer work she does with the Red Cross and hopes that she will be able to continue to do this work for many years to come!
Alice joined Day Programs at Interchange Australia in August 2022, after speaking to her 1:1 support worker and made aware of the programs and activities offered each week at Lagoon House. Alice absolutely loves getting out and visiting new places but has also has a creative streak and really enjoys the creative creations program as well.
Alice has made such a wonderful contribution to the house since commencing; she gives everything 100% effort and was involved in making the scarecrows for the Goulburn show competition, which Lagoon House won FIRST PLACE!
Alice really enjoys keeping busy and lives semi-independently receiving assistance with cooking her evening meals and some light cleaning but does love a little down time on the coast each Christmas with her family and her dog Harry!
