Let’s take care of our seniors.
Let’s look after our seniors and give a little back. NSW Seniors week is all about taking care of our seniors, celebrating their life’s contribution to society and helping them navigate their way through the services available to assist them to continue to live independently for many years to come.
On Wednesday 21st April, Interchange Australia held a delicious morning tea as a special thank you to our local seniors which turned out to be a wonderful social event for all who attended.
It was a gloriously warm sunny morning at the picturesque Springett House only enhanced by the fresh roasted coffee being served by the Interchange Coffee Change Coffee Van, which is run wholly by Interchange Australia support workers and disability participants of the Steps to Success Supported Education and Employment Program, as well as the delicious buffet of fresh fruit, scones with cream and jam, chocolate croissants and other gourmet food and some lovely fresh juices.
The morning presented a fabulous opportunity to everyone in attendance to meet other seniors in the local area as well as take some time to speak with some of our Interchange Australia consultants about the services available to them through Commonwealth Home Support Program and Home Care Packages both designed to keep you living independently in your own home longer.
There was also a special presentation by Tia, breaking myths about health and fitness and offering some advice on the CHSP and HCP application processes.
We would like to thank everyone that came along and made the morning tea so lovely, and if you missed out but would like to know what services are available to you then please don’t hesitate to contact us on 4868 6688 and speak with one of our friendly account managers today.
Make the change to Interchange!
