Celebrating her 100th Birthday and still living life to the full, independent and happy. A home full of family and a house full of flowers.
What is Audrey’s secret to such a great and long life? Just simply put; living, keeping busy and surrounding herself with the people that make her happy.
Audrey currently lives independently with her partner Colin who she met when she was 50, she has a son and grandchildren who live in Sweden but travel to the Southern Highlands to visit regularly and also came to celebrate her 100th birthday!
Audrey has been a long time member of the Country Women’s Association and enjoys giving back to the community that she has lived in so many years through this wonderful organisation.
Audrey also likes to keep her mind active by watching quiz programs on television and loves listening to music (It is good for the soul!), she also enjoys reading and learning new things; one can never know enough, with knowledge comes the key to a successful and enjoyable life.
Audrey has been utilising domestic assistance services through Interchange Australia since before 2014, these services have been a game changer for Audrey as they have helped her keep on top of everything at home and most importantly have kept Audrey in her own home.
When asked to describe how it feels to turn 100 years of age, she said she has had a long and busy life, but it has been wonderful and full of memories that continue to make me smile.
