With aspirations to become a sound technician, Matty Lucas is taking all the right steps to make this dream become reality.
Matty joined Interchange Australia in August 2022 after learning about how the Music, Drama and Radio programs available could help him on his journey of producing sound and music for both theatre and radio.
With music and technology as his two main interests, it comes as no surprise that after just one training session, Matty now independently plans, sets up and hosts “The Lunch Break” at 11:00am each Tuesday on 92.5 MusicFM with Lexi.
Matty is certainly gaining the hands on experience needed to breeze through his desired sound technician course when he is ready to start!
Matty also has a keen interest in building things, particularly stages and theatre props. We are all very excited to put his skills to work in our next Day Programs performance at “Stars on Stage” and incredibly happy to have his knowledge and help in the working wonders furniture restoration and upcycling program!
Matty is a huge Melissa McCarthy fan with her larger than life movie personality and his favourite movie is Spy! He enjoys messing around with his friends and making everyone laugh each day and loves all the new friendships he has formed at Interchange Australia with other like-minded participants and the super friendly and encouraging staff.
