A very warm welcome to Karlie joining us at our Narellan Day Options campus!
Karlie lives at home with her parents and sister and owns two very cute rabbits named Hamish and Harry.
Karlie loves to create things, both artistically and in the kitchen and wanted to find an organisation that was offering engaging, learning experiences in programs like cooking, arts and crafts. Another important factor for Karlie was that she wanted to meet new people of a similar age and interests to herself.
Somerset House at Narellan ticked all the boxes and Karlie commenced Day Options with Interchange Australia at the start of February 2023. Which reminds me of a quote from her favourite personality “Being in the same room with people and creating something together is a good thing” ~ Robin Williams.
In her short time at Interchange Karlie has already been actively contributing within our Cheftastics cooking program and is gaining the desired cooking skills as outlined in both her NDIS and personal goals. Karlie also takes part in Creative Creations each week and is really enjoying the all the craft and artistic components of this program enabling her to express herself through her work.
