Here at Interchange Australia we have a wide range of staff, both in our office and out in the field performing all the services for our valued clients and participants. Our office staff consist of a mixture of Aged Care team members and NDIS team members who work on a range of different tasks on their day to day basis. We regularly try to shine a spotlight on these amazing staff to show you all just how incredibly hard working they all are.
Today we are introducing you to the incredible Maria, who is one of our Account Managers for our Aged Care clients receiving services within the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, working out of the Bowral Office.
I have met so many interesting people who have lived the most amazing lives and make me laugh or reflect with gratitude on a daily basis.

I have always daydreamed about living in the Southern Highlands for many years, and finally made the move from Sydney just over two years ago with my Mum and Charlie (my 12 year old chocolate Labrador). I love the feeling of community and care that people display for one another down here and I also really love the distinct seasons and colours that accompany them. In my down time I really love exploring our stunning surrounds by bushwalking and enjoying the precious wildlife.
After 20 years in the Aviation Industry it was time to leave shift work behind and have a life that resembled something more like ‘normal’. After many missed Christmases and time away from family and friends it was time to put down roots. Following my time in Aviation I also worked for a Government regulatory body and within the Construction Industry.
I applied to work at Interchange to pursue a meaningful career change that had people at its core, and that would allow me to have greater interaction within our wonderful community.
I have been with Interchange for nine months now and have learnt so much from my work colleagues. I really feel like I’ve hit the jackpot, that I get to work with like-minded people who are professional, friendly, supportive and caring.
My role at Interchange is as an Account Coordinator / Manager for our Aged Care clients receiving services within the Commonwealth Home Support Programme. I enjoy talking to and meeting with my clients to help ensure that we have the correct support in place to allow them to live as safely and independently as possible. I have met so many interesting people who have lived the most amazing lives and make me laugh or reflect with gratitude on a daily basis.
We hear daily that we are living longer and that our aging population is growing, with that in mind I believe that it is essential that we are able to live safely and independently for as long as possible with the right services in place. The Aged Care Industry will only grow as it continues to provide vital services for us all as we age.
